Question to Myself: Day 80 – How does it feel? What have you learned?

Answer for just me—and anyone else who happens to be reading: It feels pretty good. Seeing this project through to Day 80 is deeply satisfying.

At first, it seemed so simple. Just write a short post every day by asking myself a question and answering it. Easy, right? Silly me. It was everything except easy.

Let me explain. Once I actually sit down to write, the words flow easily. That part is easy. The hard part is getting to the writing. Finding the time—or rather, making the time—was the real challenge. I kept waiting for the “perfect” moment to sit down, which, of course, rarely came. Life has a funny way of throwing off the best-laid plans.

Then there’s the matter of figuring out what to write about. Each day, I had to come up with a question that felt meaningful—not just to me, but possibly to someone else, too. That pressure to be relevant, engaging, or thought-provoking wasn’t always easy to navigate. But I think I managed it. I often veered off topic, but honestly, I liked what I wrote—and that matters just as much as anything else.

What have I learned? I’ve learned that I really enjoy writing. I like putting my thoughts and feelings into words, and doing so has helped me understand myself better. I’ve also learned to let go of the need to sound smart, cool, or polished. I’ve learned to just be me on the page. Writing these posts has been a little like therapy—freeing and grounding all at once.

I’ve discovered that my posts don’t have to be profound, or even long. And surprisingly, people are reading them. Sometimes they even leave a like or a kind comment—which I genuinely appreciate. More than anything, I hope that anyone stumbling onto this blog realizes that writing and sharing don’t have to be intimidating. You don’t have to be a big deal—you just have to show up and share a little piece of your world.

I feel a real sense of success having come this far. While my original goal was to complete 100 consecutive days, getting to Day 80 feels like a win. At this point, I think I’ll keep blogging—but without the pressure to post every single day. I still have 20 days left in this project, and I’ve learned one more thing: writing like this is actually fun.
