Yes, it is Day 13 of my project, and yes, the days have definitely become non-consecutive. However, it has been a great week. I am in Salt Lake, staying with my daughter, her husband, and their grandbaby.
Yesterday was a little slower, with the highlight being an afternoon walk. Afterwards, the dogs (Sam and Marty), the baby, and I lay in the backyard grass just watching the sky. Later, we went to dinner with the dogs and sat outside on the patio, slowly sipping wine. Slow living at its absolute best and a perfect Friday.
Today, Saturday, has been a busy day. It’s my son’s birthday and also Andy’s birthday. I started out with a dog walk through the neighborhood. Then the two dogs and I went to the farmers market with my son, his girlfriend, and their dog Maple. It was so much fun, and I purchased a gourd bird feeder, honey, and a beautiful print.
Next, we celebrated my son’s birthday. The group included my son, his girlfriend, my daughter, her husband, the baby, and me. We went to Top Golf, a really fun place where you have drinks and eat appetizers while hitting golf balls in an air-conditioned arena. We left the dogs at home for this adventure. It was such a good time!
Then we came back home to the dogs and celebrated Andy’s 2nd birthday. The dogs had treats and party favors. The picture above shows them lined up for their treats from my daughter. They had a great time destroying the toys that were the party favors.

Now it is late afternoon and the two dogs are recuperating while I write this entry. The day was a memorable one that was easy, relaxing, fun, and I think fabulous for everyone. More photos could have been included, but these show most of the story. I hope you enjoy the day along with us!
