I am sharing my studio spaces today because I am really hoping to break out of my non-painting funk and get moving. I watched a Zoom call yesterday that really inspired me, and I realized that I need to start sharing my work. I’ll spend the next few days figuring that out, but in the meantime, I can share my studio spaces, which you can see in the photos above.

A portion of my painting often takes place in the luxury of my garage with backdrops of bikes and garden tools. It’s not glamorous, but without a studio that can withstand splatter, it works just fine. My sketching and digital art happens in one end of my extra bedroom that doubles as my yoga studio. It’s a nice spot, not fancy, but filled with things that I treasure.

The year 2024 was meant to be my year of art. I started off great, but then little things began to creep in and take up more of my space (both mind and time) than I would have liked, so I stalled. Right now, I feel it is time to move forward, go back to where I left off, and continue. One thing I am allowing myself is the time to connect with my needs. I need to not push myself to create, because sometimes there is nothing bubbling up that I can grab hold of. Now, I feel more… I am struggling to explain… open, alive, willing to listen to myself? Whatever it is, I am willing to wander through, open up, and share the outcome.

I’m Nadine

Welcome to my life and the experiences that shape who I am. In February 2025, I embarked on a 100-Day Project, challenging myself to ask and answer a question every day. I invite you to follow along, explore my daily Q&A, and perhaps discover something new about yourself along the way.

Join me on this adventure of learning, creating, and embracing a slower, more intentional way of living—with my loyal companion, Andy, by my side.

Welcome to my journey!
