Desert Willow
This morning, as I was walking my dog Andy, I noticed the flower in the picture and was amazed because I had never seen this particular flower on the trail before. I observe and record a lot of what I see each morning, but I do nothing with the photos and the things I learn. I just internalize them and never really share. I would like to share more of my life and what I see and do each day, but I realize that until I start, it won’t happen.
This blog is the perfect vehicle to write and share. Even if it just goes out to the universe with no response, that’s okay. Nothing will happen with this blog until I do something. As simple as it sounds, I am starting one day at a time, one blog at a time, learning one thing at a time. If this first entry seems like not much, it is indeed a lot. Blogging this way should increase my skill levels in both writing and photography, and I may soon begin to include some of my artwork. There is a certain amount of fear in doing this. Setting a goal of 100 days to observe, share, and record my feelings might just raise my confidence levels and reduce my procrastination. I’m blocking out 30 minutes each day to do just that, knowing I’ve got to start somewhere!
